Kaitlyn Hurley hit a three-run homer, helping Greater Lawence to an 8-2 win over Nashoba. Wilmeri Valera and Emily Graham each had a triple, and winning pitcher Graham struck out 10.

Manny Cepeda had two hits and scored a run and Brendan Dodier added two hits and an RBI as Whittier earned its fourth straight win, and sixth in seven games, with a 4-3 victory over Nashoba.

Cam Richards scored two goals and was 17 for 18 on faceoffs to help Whittier down Nashoba 11-2. Kody DiCredico scored a game-high four goals for the winners.

Anthony Rosseau needed just 33 seconds to score a pin at 160 pounds, helping Timberlane to a 66-6 win over Nashoba Regional. Tallon Oljey (106 pounds, 0:44) and Cooper Kelley (220 pounds, 0:36) also scored pins in under a minute.

Whittier crushed Nashoba 20-0 in five innings as Alyssa Michel went 4 for 5 with four RBIs and Dani Lear was 3 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs. Overall, the unbeaten Wildcats (11-0) had 23 hits.

Despite missing five of its best starters with injuries, North Andover swept a quad-meet at home. Joey Valentino was 3-0 with three pins but it was fill ins like Anthony McCann and senior Jacob Williams who came up big time for the Knights. Will Schimmoeller, at 170, also had a big day with three wins.

Luis Mayricio, Michael Hernandez, Chris Bueno and Brandon Santell were all 3-0 on the day as Lawrence whipped Reading and Nashoba but fell to Rhode Island Cumberland. 

Central Catholic settled for a somewhet disappointing second at the Demao Duals at Nashoba.

The Raiders won their first two meets handily, then slipped past Nahoba 39-38 in the semifinals only to lose in the finals 38-37 to Walpole despite leading by 14 points with three matches to go. In two of the final three matches, the Raiders were winning decisively before being pinned.

Haverhill's hockey team won its second straight game to open the season, 7-2 over Nashoba. Showing good depth, six different players scored, led by Tyler Campbell's two goals. Brian Mackie and Mike Fitzgerald both had a goal and two assists.

Lawrence won two of three meets in a quad, pnly falling to a strong Cumberland, R.I. squad 40-33. Michael Hernandez 9126), Ruben Morrillo (138), Chris Bueno (145), Hector Javier (220) and Stanley Alberto (285) were all 3-0.
