The Sanborn girls basketball team had a strong defensive effort against struggling Somersworth, and held the visitors to just six, yes six, points in a 46-6 win. Ali Gannon had a season-high eight points for the Indians (12-2), and Sophie Merry-Carreiro scored a game-high 12. Somersworth scored all six of its points in the second quarter.

In a tri-meet split, Timberlane's Eric Sarbieski won the javelin (137-0) and 200 (23.54).

Sarah Padellaro (200, 4x100) and Hailey Fontaine (javelin, 4x100) were double winners for Timberlane, which beat Somersworth and lost to Spaulding.

Sanborn's boys rallied with a 29-point fourth quarter to briefly take the lead before falling to Somersworth 67-64. Marcel Rak had four 3-pointers and 17 points for the Indians, who ended their season with a 6-15 record.

After battling foul trouble early, Ally Statezni scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half to turn a three-point halftime lead into a 42-21 Sanborn win over Somersworth.

Under new coach Brian Gray, Sanborn opened its season with a convincing 50-19 win over Somersworth. Senior forward Ally Statezni had 15 points and sophomore guard Bri Center chipped in with 11.

Jake Lomba netted a hat-trick and added an assist to lead Sanborn over Somersworth by a convincing 6-0 margain. Wyatt Linville added two goals of his owm, and Cam Carey had a pair of assists for the Indians.

Olivia Crowley had a homerun and three doubles in a 5 for 5 day at the plate as Pelham rolled over Somersworth 16-4 in five innings. She had a team-leading four RBI's, while Paige Spanos hit a homerun and a double as well. 

Pelham junior Shannon Morin pitched a two-hitter, striking out 10 without giving up an earned run, and more than helped her own cause with a two-run homer and three-run homer in an 8-2 win over Somersworth. 

Matt Lanceleve had a goal and a whopping five assists but Timberlane was outscored 4-0 in the third period and lost to Somersworth-Coe-Brown 9-6. Chris Dowd notched a hat trick for the Owls.
