DOVER — Called on to move from receiver to quarterback, Timberlane senior Ethan Stewart delivered in a big way on Saturday.

In his first varsity action at QB, Stewart ran for 104 yards and threw a touchdown, while running back Dominic Pallaria added a career-high 108 yards and three 3-yard touchdowns as Timberlane surged to a 37-7 victory over St. Thomas.

The Pentucket girls track team had a lot to be proud of at Tuesday's State Pentathlon Championship after taking first place as a team with 8,306 points. The Sachems were led by the fourth-place finish of Emily Rubio (3,064), the eighth-place finish of Madi Krohto (2,921) and Kinneal Dickens coming in 40th (2,321).

St. Thomas Aquinas scored in the third period to cut Windham's lead in half, but Vito Mancini (24 saves) came up clutch down the stretch to lift the Jaguars to a 2-1 win.

KINGSTON — Things are looking better and better each week for the Sanborn football team, but the Indians will have to wait another week to try and earn their first win.

Visiting St. Thomas Aquinas held on for a 34-20 win Saturday afternoon. Sanborn (0-3) trailed from the jump after it threw a pick-six on the first play of the game, and could never recover.

Junior Tim Bedard, a third-year starter, had a whopping 52 saves for Timberlane but it wasn't enough as St. Thomas posted the 8-1 win on Wednesday night.

Sanborn scored 10 runs in the fourth inning and won an 18-13 slugfest over St. Thomas Aquinas to clinch a playoff berth. Brian McGough drove in four runs and Chris Hanna had three ribbies.

Pelham lacrosse had no issue earning a 12-10 win over St. Thomas Aquinas thanks to a massive seven-goal effort from Jill Schwab. The Pythons moved to 10-3 with the win.
