Andover's Dan Conway scored twice and assisted on another as Brooks rolled past Roxbury Latin, 7-2. Zander Buttress, of North Andover, added a goal and an assist for the 6-4-1 Green and White.  Packy Jones added a goal and three assists while Brooks fired 57 shots at Roxbury Latin.

Brooks tripped Roxbury Latin 56-55 in its season finale. Methuen's Jason Buco celebrated Senior Night with 20 points. That was the second most of his career, with the high coming the night before when he had 25 vs. New Hampton. Brooks got strong efforts from unsung seniors Tom Ferlito of North Andover and Emerson Rogers.

Haverhill 171-pounder Colin Lahiff had a second-period pin to remain undefeated at 22-0 along with Conor Duffey at 119 in Brooks' 45-30 loss to Roxbury Latin. 

LAWRENCE — Although he was held in check much of the game, Jordan Johnson proved he is capable of scoring from anywhere on the field.

The senior quarterback scored three times and added a touchdown pass to power Brooks to a season-opening 27-10 victory over Roxbury last night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Brooks School fought valiantly and earned a 56-51 win over Roxbury Latin to finish up at 10-9. Methuen junior Jason Buco scored a dozen points, adding 10 rebounds and four assists in the victory for Brooks. Derek Murphy paced Brooks with 15 points.

It was a Braveheart evening yesterday at the Pentucket Tournament.

Despite resting five standout starters, Greater Lawrence charged into first place to win its second title in three years with 146 points, slipping past local rival and defending champion Lawrence (141<1/2>), which led heading into the final round.

Brooks had an opportunity for a major upset victory, but a goal in the 87th minute turned the tide and kept Roxbury Latin unbeaten, 2-1. Goalie Peter Crowley was immense, turning aside a penalty kick as part of his 13 saves. North Andover's Chris Gilbert (assist) and freshman Andreas Burbank-Crump shined for Brooks.
