The Brooks girls hockey team went ahead 2-1 in the first period and held on for a 4-3 win over Vermont Academy in the quarterfinals of the NEPSAC Class B tournament. Four different players scored for Brooks, now 20-2-2.

Amy Couture of Windham, N.H., finished ninth to lead the Green and White, Yadira Flores was 22nd and Nicole Rosmarin was 23rd.

Middlesex finished with 44 ponts with Brooks next at 87. Josh Kirkman came in second individually with an 18:24 over the hilly 5K course while Ian Anderson was seventh and Jon Choroszy was 13th for the Green and White, which also won the JV meet.
