Perfect Phillips No. 2

 

One week after winning the New England Prep Class A Meet,  the Phillips Academy girls track team completed a perfect season with an 86-59victory over Phillips Exeter. Allie Morrison won the 300 hurdles, long jump and high jump to lead the way.

Perfect Phillips No. 1

 

The Phillips Academy boys track team, which won the New England Class A Prep meet a week earlier, completed a perfect season with a 106-39 romp over Phillips Exeter. North Reading's Bobby Vardaro won shot put (52-11 1/2) and discus, Alec Bingaman won both the javelin and 110 hurdles and junior Malcolm Mason-Rodriguez was a big triple winner with big jumps in both the long jump (23-9 1/4) and triple jump (47-10) while also winning the high jump.

Romping prep champ

 

The Phillips Academy boys track team romped to the New England Class A title, finishing 35 points ahead of runner-up Loomis Chaffee. Junior Malcolm Mason-Rodriguez won both the long and triple (46-4 1/2) jumps and was second in the high jump, team captain Peter Hetzler won the 400 and 300 hurdles and North Reading's Bobby Vardaro had a personal-best winning throw of 53-7 1/4 in the shot put.

Edging rivals

 

The Phillips Academy girls track team used good depth to outdistance rival Phillips Exeter to capture the New England Class A Prep title. The Big Blue finished with 117 points while Phillips Exeter was runner-up with 102. Captain Colleen Flanagan of Andover was fourth in the pole vault and on the winning 4x100 relay. High jumo winner Allie Morrison scored 20 team points.

Phillips shows mercy

Phillips Academy crushed rival Phillips Exeter 19-0 as freshman pitcher Abby Chung threw a three-hitter for her first varsity win and had three RBIs. Mackenzie Skwiercynski of Andover also had three RBIs. The game was called after six innings because of the mercy rule.

Scyocurka, Exeter runs past Andover in annual battle of Phillips'

EXETER N.H. — Phillips Andover had no answer for Phillips Exeter running back Alex Scyocurka plain and simple.

The post-grad for Exeter rushed for an incredible 367 rushing yards while scoring twice as the Big Red of Phillips exeter beat the Phillips Andover Big Blue in the 129th meeting between the two storied schools.
