In her final game of her high school career, Phillips senior Summer Washburn of Andover scored five goals and added one assist to lead Phillips to a 10-9 victory over Phillips Exeter.

Phillips Academy wrapped up a perfect regular season with a 7-2 victory over Phillips Exeter. Stacia Vladimirova and Elizabeth Kelly won their singles matches then combined to win a tight match at first doubles for the Big Blue.

Jill Doherty scored four times and Carter Makin added three more goals as Brooks improved to 8-1 with a 15-10 win over Phillips Exeter. Doherty, of North Reading, also had an assist and Emilie Klein and Bella Papapetros, both of North Andover, each added a goal. Hannah Buttress, also of North Andover, made five saves to secure the win.

With victories in the shot put and discus, Chioma Ngwudo led a balanced effort as Phillips swept past Phillips Exeter, St. Paul's and Milton in a quad-meet yesterday.

Three Phillips athletes did a lot of damage in its second-place finish at a quad meet versus rival Phillips Exeter, St. Paul's and Milton. Jack Ward (shot put and discus), Brendon Rankowitz (javelin and 100), Malcolm Mason-Rodriguez (long jump and triple jump) and Patrick Wolber (800 and 1,500) racked up points with two victories apiece.

Phillips Academy's Ryan Gaiss of North Andover surpassed 100 wins for his career, taking fourth at 145 pounds at the National Prep School Tourney. Gaiss now stands at 104-21 for his career and 29-2 this season. Phillips placed 20th as a team.

Talented and tough Patrick Wolber posted a brilliant triple, winning the 600, 1,000 and mile, and Joseph Kruy and Jack Ward went 1-2 in the shot put but Exeter won the final relay to nip Phillips Andover 52.5-49.5.

The Phillips Academy volleyball team (12-1) tuned up for the prep playoffs with a sweep of Phillips Exeter. Zoe Roschach and Kemi Amurawaiye led the charge at the net with 10 and nine kills respectively.

The Phillips Academy girls soccer team scored three early goals and then coasted past past Phillips Exeter 3-0. Leah Mumes, Clare Ashforth and Nekele McCall all scored for the Big Blue (11-3-3).

The Phillips Academy field hockey team let a 1-0 lead slip away with no time left in regulation, but rallied to defeat arch-rival Phillips Exeter 2-1 in overtime. Summer Washburn scored both goals for the Big Blue (13-2). Phillips Exeter dropped to 11-3-2.
