Cullen Dolan scored twice and twin brother Teagan Dolan also scored as North Andover beat Somerville, 3-1. Cullen (9-10-19) and Teagan (8-9-17) are the top two scorers for the Knights.

Chris DiMaggio, Owen Kneeland, Zach Nadeau and Jack Allard scored and Owen O'Brien turned aside 16 shots as Methuen doubled up on Somerville, 4-2, to capture the First Responders Cup.

Sisters Stephanie and Brooke Tardugno scored 15 and 11 points respectively, and Olivia Barron chipped in 13 to lead Methuen to a 61-47 win over Somerville.

With Lismari Valdez netting 12 kills and Shea Vadeboncouer getting 11 aces, Haverhill's volleyball team whipped Somerville in three games to end the regular season at 17-2. That ties the school record for most regular season wins with the 2000 team that went 17-3 and finished at 20-4.

Sicily DiDomenico threw a no-hitter with 10 Ks and only one walk. Alyssa Wilson hit a triple and double and Jadynne Hill and Shannon Alvino both had three RBIs as Haverhill moved closer to the tournament with a 15-0 rout of Somerville.

The Greater Lawrence baseball team split two games in the Chris Serino Memorial Tournament, losing to host Malden 11-6 before beating Somerville 9-6. Sergio Aquino was on fire all day, going a combined 6 for 8 with five runs scored, and Francis Mejia went a combined 6 for 8 as well with three RBIs.

Methuen improved to 3-2 by beating Somerville, 25-15, 25-10, 25-19, for a 3-0 sweep. Senior Hadi Majed led the way with 10 kills, senior Nicolas Rosado had 22 assists and senior Yoswal Gonzalez notched five aces.

Presentation of Mary Academy pushed Somerville to five sets but dropped the final one, 15-13, to lose, 3-2. Senior Brady Quinn led in three different categories, providing 11 kills, six aces and four blocks. Senior Sam Mather led with eight assists.

NORTH ANDOVER – The Scarlet Knight starting five has built an impressive resume the past couple years having made a state title appearance a year ago. Three of this year’s starters even played pivotal roles in winning a state football title three months ago.
