Tourney MVP Anthony Barry scored 22 points to lead Brooks to a 53-45 win over Thayer Academy, in the championship of the Huckins-Rouse Invitational tourney,at Middlesex.
Brooks swept the day, which began with a 58-37 semifinal win over King. Brooks began the tourney on Friday with a 57-30 quarerfinal win over Nobles.
David Berroa, of Lawrence, scored 10 points in the title game. Shane Rogers also had 10 in the final game.
"I am very proud of this team," said Brooks head coach John McVeigh. "To play three games in just a little over 24 hours and to get some many contributions from so many was a nice way to go into our (winter) break.
