Odds and ends: Captain Jenn Quinlan is out for the season after tearing her ACL in lacrosse. … Sophomore Sarah Oteri led the Andover ice hockey team in scoring last season (19-14|33). … Seven players were members of the lacrosse team, including Catherine Gross (32 goals) and goalie Abby Cook. ... Andover outscored the opposition 45-12 last year and had nine shutouts, four by Tameka Geaslen and five more by Geaslen and Heather Sullivan.

Coach Maureen Noone (10th year, 107-35-31): "Our defense is very strong. Nicole Gagnon and Christina Saccone have great stick skills and they don't get in trouble. Catherine Gross moves the ball quickly and is a very smart and experienced player. We have a few sophomores who are working to fit in, but we have played well in scrimmages. Losing Jenn Quinlan was a big loss."
