Seniors Jordan Loffredo and Stephanie Chaisson were freshmen on Methuen's last tourney team. ... Methuen flattened Arlington and Everett by a combined 10-0 score to start the season with Chaisson scoring four goals and Ashley Adams three.

Coach Karen McLaughlin (11th year, 100-64-27): "The passing game with our midfielders is strong. Brittany Forkus, Jessica Donovan and Jordan Loffredo know where the defense is and where their teammates are and make nice passes. Loffredo and Chaisson are four-year varsity players, this is the third year in goal for Irene Cassidy. After a couple of years on the bubble, our goal is to get back into the tourney."
