Down seven goals heading into the second half, Newburyport put together a great second half performance, but fell a goal short ultimately in its come back attempt. Coach Catherine Batchelder said the Clippers came out slow and got in too big a hole, which has been an unfortunate trend for the team this season.
Laura Fallon led the Clippers with six goals, Chelsea Roberts had four goals, Haley Johnson had two goals, Molly Scully had one goal, and Avery Hines had one goal. Lilly Galzareno had 10 saves in net for Newburyport.
