MIDDLETON | Like surgeons slated for an afternoon golf match at the club, unbeaten Greater Lawrence Tech wasted little time peeling through North Shore Tech, 41-26, for victory No. 6.

The Reggies rolled up a 28-0 first quarter lead and sent the starters to the bench for good at the break, up 35-0. "That's it man, a short day," said senior fullback Victor Sosa, who bumped and careened for 57 yards and three TDs on his six rushes. "Take care of business and give the rest of the guys a chance. All business."

In building the advantage, Greater Lawrence chewed up 267 yards in the half | all on the ground | and held the hosts, who turned it over twice and saw the Reggies scoop up their own squib kick, managed a mere 23 yards.

Nate Adames, the region's rushing leader, ran 19 times for 175 yards, pushing his season total to 1,274. Isaac Sosa, Jonathan Delossantos, Jorge Cruz and John Cote all delivered some heavy hits before exiting at the intermission.

North Shore, to its credit, made hay against the Reggies reserves, enough to cause a late stir on the Greater Lawrence Tech bench. But one quick re-insertion of the starting offensive line ended any thoughts of a Bulldog miracle.

"I was a little upset with our second and third-teamers, because they didn't do their jobs," said coach Tony Sarkis. "We'll take care of that this week. Other than that, I'm very happy with the way things went."

The Reggies now face one more tuneup, at Mystic Valley this week, before the fun begins.

"The real season, where everything is decided, is just about to start," said Victor Sosa. "Shawsheen, Lynn Tech and Greater Lowell. That's where it all matters. And we can't wait."
