BALDWINVILLE | Knotted at 16-16 in the second quarter, Whittier Tech saw Narragansett Regional High run off 32 points and dominate in a 48-16 win.
It was a tough night overall for the Whittier community as volunteer assistant coach Fred Bradley, the father of head coach Kevin Bradley, was rushed to Gardner Hospital minutes before the game.
"I'm with him now," reported Kevin Bradley from Gardner. "They think he might have had a heart attack. Thankfully, there were a lot of people there who knew how to handle the situation. The Whittier people helped carry him out. They were just unbelievable."
Whittier got a 2-yard TD run from Cam Taylor and Bryan Trickett scored on a 29-yard run. Craig Eaton added a two-point rush for the Wildcats, now 1-1.
Whittier next plays at Greater Lawrence Tech, Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
