Nitin Mahesh and Shane Huggins won at first doubles, but the Andover boys tennis team fell to Acton-Boxboro 4-1 in the Division 1 North semifinals. Jeff Birnenbaum played well, but dropped a three-setter and Eric Heath and Bjorn Merinder battled but fell in straight sets.
"I was really proud of their kids, they just fought hard," coach Mike Wartman said.
