Not since the first two games of the year has Newburyport put together a winning streak, however, after a stout defensive effort in the third quarter holding to Assabet to only four points the Clippers walked away with their second straight win.
Bruce Pollard led the way with 21 points as well as three rebounds and three steals, Nick Welch had 14 points and seven rebounds, Joe Clancy had nine points, eight assists and five steals, Kyle Uhlig had eight rebounds, and Pat Reynolds had seven rebounds and four assists in Newburyport's win.
Coach Tom L'Italien the Clippers passed the ball well and that it was nice to see the work the team has put in pay off.
