Andover's girls hockey team was frustrated a bit by a trapping defense, but the Golden Warriors had more than enough of their own defense to blank Newton North 2-0 in the first round of the Division 1 tournament. Megan Pettoruto only needed four saves to pick up her 10th shutout. Sarah Oteri and Nicole Giroux scored the goals and Alicia Nader and Lea Macheras played well early.
Andover will face the winner of tonight's Lexington-Wilmington game tomorrow at a time and site to be determined.
