Timberlane's depth overflowed at the Spartan Tournament in Sanford, Maine.
The Owls not only easily won the title with 288 points, by well over 100 points, but its B team finished fifth with 104.5. The Owls placed 11 wrestlers in the finals and came away with six champions.
Most impressive of the champs may have been 145-pounder Dylan Musgrave, who beat the No. 2 and No. 1 seeds, winning 7-3 in the finals after a pair of pins and a major decision.
Also noteworthy was Antonio Pallaria at 138, who was wrestling for the B team. He had a major decision in the finals after beating teammate Robbie Pinault 2-0 in the semifinals.
Other champs for the Owls were 126-pounder Taylor Donovan, 132-pounder Connor McGonagle, 182-pounder Dylan Tremblay and heavyweight Noah Beaulieu. McGonagle pinned B teammate Nick Pallaria in the finals and Tremblay had four first-period pins.
Among the runners-up John Leavitt had a strong tournament at 113, losing a 7-5 overtime decision in the finals.
