The Triton Vikings (2-8-5) lost to the home-advantaged Masconomet Chieftains (11-2-3) yesterday, 2-1. Caitlin Short scored a goal in the first half off a Mac Scanlon assist, and Sarah Nardone made 15 saves in net. Both teams had seven offensive corners, but the Chieftains outshot the Vikings, 16-3.
"We were down in their end but we weren't able to execute," said Triton coach Donna Andersen. "We had a lot of opportunities, but they were just a very good team."
