Pinkerton didn't half to sweat out a trip to the Division 1 semifinals.
Helped by a season-high 11 points from sophomore Jesse Ames, the second-seeded Astros (19-3) cruised to a 61-23 rout of rival Londonderry in Saturday's quarterfinal.
Brooke Kane had a game-high 14 points for the Astros, who held a commanding 37-8 lead at the half. The Lancers only scored double figure points in the third quarter.
Elsewhere for the Astros, both Alicia D'Onofrio and Madison Mahoney had 10 points, and Megan King added five.
Pinkerton will play No. 3 Manchester Memorial in the semifinals on Thursday at 6 p.m. from Southern New Hampshire University. The Astros beat Memorial, 54-46, during the regular season.
