It's a long drive from Plaistow to Danbury, Connecticut, but it proved worthwhile for Timberlane Saturday.Timberlane got some sweet revenge Saturday.
The Owls used the power of the pin to topple host Danbury for a huge 43-30 victory as part of a quad-meet at the home of the defending New England champions. With wins over Nashoba and Xavier, that improved the Owls to 15-0 and avenged their only loss in each of the last two seasons.
The key to the win, according to coach Barry Chooljian was the Owls had six pins in the meet, including one at 106 by Nick Roeger in what was considered a tossup match, and for the most part kept off their backs.
In addition to Roeger, Connor McGonagle, Antonio Pallaria, Justin Berube, Dylan Tremblay and Chris Lund all had pins. McGonagle had three pins on the day and Roeger and Justin Berube were 3-0. Antonio Pallaria was 2-0 with two pins.
