There was certainly nothing for the Timberlane wrestling team to complain about Saturday.

The Owls were not entirely satisfied with their runner-up performance at the Lowell Holidaty Tournament last month, so they took it out on the field at the Sanford Tournament.

Timberlane crowned five champions and finished first with 321 points, nearly 100 ahead of runner-up Connecticut power Danbury.

"It was a great weekend for us," exclaimed Timberlane coach Barry Chooljian. "The guys really stepped it up.  I'm pleased with how we competed at every weight.

"We had a big semifinal round, winning 9 of 12."

Taking first for the Owls were Connor McGonagle (126), Justin Berube (145), Dylan Tremblay (170), Steven Blaisdell (182) and Jake Post (195). It was the best tournament of Blaisdell's career and the best performance of the season for Post, who didn't even place at Lowell.

Placing second for the Owls were Dylan Musgrave (120), Ryan Cole (220) and Noah Beaulieu (285), who also didn't place at Lowell.

The Owls' depth was so impressive that even two members of the B team placed, with Nick Roeger taking fourth at 106 and Antonio Pallaria grabbing fourth at 126.
