Mitchell McGinn had the hat trick and Paddy Capsalis made a stunning 54 saves as Salem (13-4-3, 11-3-2 in league play) toppled Concord, 4-3. The second-place Tide fell to 14-2 in the league.
Coach Mark McGinn said of Capsalis, a senior keeper, "He played unbelievable. He made every save he could see and then some."
McGinn said of his son, a talented sophomore, "He just literally rose to the occasion. He's a captain and set the tone. He showed he's a good polayer."
McGinn now has 17 goals and 20 assists on the year.
