Junior attackman Matt MacDonald missed two games over the weekend while appearing in a hockey showcase in Chicago, but hardly showed any rust yesterday as he scored four goals to lead a one-sided victory. Pingree improved to 5-4 overall, 3-0 in Eastern Independent League action.
Jack Williamson (3 and 1) and Max Mathey (3 goals) were other forces in a 10-0 halftime lead for the Highlanders. Colin Rossano and Ben Coleman each netted a pair of tallies while Matt Spurling, Connor Cash, Cam Ecker and Sam Machieros all scored single goal.
"Freshmen scored six goals for us, which was a plus," Pingree coach Ned Jackson said, "and it was nice to have MacDonald back."
