At 5-2, the Pentucket Sachems are emerging as a legitimate force in the Cape Ann League. Yesterday's victory against a struggling Gloucester team proved that the Sachems are a team that aren't going to underestimate or overlook any opponent.

A total of 14 players tallied points for the Sachems yesterday; Kayla Jewitt had four goals and an assist, Vanessa Cahill scored four goals as well, Lyndsay Beaton scored one and dished out four assists, freshman Colden Broderick had three scores (in her first varsity game), Valerie Grimm and Stephanie Fitzgerald had two goals, Galligan and Sarah Evers each had a goal and two assists, Autumn Gadd and Kayla Melville both had a goal and an assist, Colleen McGoldrick had two helpers, and Zoe McKenzie, K.C. Jones, and Julie Fallavollita chipped in with one a piece.

Goalie Heather Thomas made 7 saves, and Hillary Dandurant had five second half saves in her first varsity appearance.
