Ryan Nolan scored with a minute to play in overtime to deliver a win for the Panthers (2-2), who came from behind to beat Swampscott 5-4. The Big Blue had led 3-1 at the break and saw their advantage erased when Greg Pierce completed his hat trick with under 10 seconds to play in regulation.
The senior's third goal of the game forced the extra session. Paul Harrington also scored for Beverly and goalie Kevin Ranton stopped 14 shots including three in sudden death.
On the Swampscott side, A.J. Zarinski excelled.
