North Reading’s Frank Carey set the Massachusetts record for all-time wins by a baseball head coach last week with victory No. 726.
He set yet another milestone yesterday by coaching in his 1,000th career game.
The Hornets won 4-3 over Hamilton-Wenham on a walkoff, two-out single to right-center by
Scott Allen. It scored
Colby Maiola who led off the bottom of the eighth by getting hit by a pitch. Maiola then stole second and third.
