Pingree's boys basketball team ran away with a 61-29 blowout victory last night over Landmark Academy, which improved the Highlanders record to 4-1 on the young season.
Allen Williamson led the offensive charge netting 12 points and grabbing five rebounds for Pingree. Cody Preseury recorded eight points, six assists and three steals while Connor Cash added eight points and seven boards.
"I thought everyone played pretty well tonight. We had an excellent overall team effort and we showed a lot of balance throughout the game," said Pingree head coach Steve Gibbs.
The Highlanders were able to contain Jordan Yorks, who still managed to get 13 points on the evening, which paled in comparison to his six 3-point makes last time out.
"We played a very good game defensively. Our man to man defense was smothering all night and we kept Yorks pretty well in check, which was key given his breakout ability."
Pingree is back in action this afternoon at 3:30 when they travel to play rival Beaver Country Day.
