Eric Denning recorded 15 and three blocks while Andrew Ruffen had 37 assists, four aces and eight digs to lead Salem over Pinkerton 3-1 in the Division 1 boys volleyball semifinals.
Danny Nugent added eight kills and Steve Nugent had seven kills for top-seeded Salem which will square off against Windham in the finals Saturday at 6 p.m. at Pinkerton Academy.
No. 3 seeded Windham upset No. 2 seeded Londonderry 3-1 after losing to the Lancers during the regular season.
Windham's Brandon Bernyk had 18 kills and 11 blocks while Evan Todd had 16 kills. Andrew Lowman had six blocks and Tucker Lippold added five and also had 40 assists.
"Nick Alzamora and Alex Whitehead keyed our defense and made great adjustments to their attack," Windham coach Chris Baribeau commented. "Dan Rousseau made some huge plays down the stretch for us."
