Pentucket struggles in opener

Pentucket took an early first-quarter lead but was unable to maintain that momentum as Marblehead rebounded for a 21-7 season-opening victory.

In an interdivision game between Cape Ann League/Northeast Conference opponents, Marblehead's Zac Cuzner scored all three touchdowns for the visiting Division 2 Magicians.

Ryan Kuchar provided the Division 3 Sachems with a 7-0 lead on a 10-yard run that capped a 39-yard drive with 2:30 left in the first period. Pentucket managed only two first downs on its finals six possessions and four in the game.
