When Swampscott coach Paul Moran watches senior forward John Beaulieu, he sees a player he wishes he could've been in high school. That's saying something when you consider that Moran was a prodigious scorer at Swampscott, finishing with 2,000 points before the 3-point basket was legislated.
"Beaulieu is such a complete player that it reminds me of what I should've done myself," said Moran. "John can score, rebound and defend. He understands what there is to know about the game and he's such a great team player. I think he'll be one of the premier players in the state this season."
