Senior captain Tori Snow had two goals and an assist as the Marblehead girls hockey team upset host Franklin, 4-3, in the first round of the Division 2 girls hockey state tournament.

Snow is now tied for the North Shore lead in girls hockey scoring with 16 goals and 31 total points.

Meg McDonald's goal, a shorthanded strike in the third period, proved to be the game-winner for the 13th seeded Lady Headers (11-7-2).

Kelsey Maguire also scored for the winners while Kathryn Homan, Ashley White and Courtney Colantuno added assists. Goalie Moe Bradley's 15 saves stood up in net.

"We shot, crashed the net and capitalized on our chances," said victorious Marblehead coach Emily Hudak.

"It took us over two hours by bus to get to Franklin and we were a little sluggish at first, but once we shook that off the girls played great."
