If goose eggs truly are a goaltender's best friend, then Marblehead's Moe Bradley must be one of the most popular girls on the block. The emerging sophomore star has held the opponent scoreless in three of her seven starts this season by collecting three shutouts.

A Swampscott High student playing for Marblehead's co-operative team, Bradley boasts a stellar 1.16 goals against average by surrendering just seven goals in a half-dozen contests. She's also been remarkably durable, playing every minute of the year as the lone netminder on the squad's roster.

After posting back-to-back shutouts in her last two outings, Bradley stopped 31 shots in a heaertbreaking 2-1 loss at Arlington last night.

"She's been a key for us," said Marblehead coach Emily Hudak. "She's our only goalie and we're lucky to have her." Playing one of the tougher schedules on the North Shore, Marblehead is just 2-3-1 with four of their games being decided by two goals or less. That's meant that Bradley has had to be sharp at all times.

"Moe has a great mentality," Hudak said. "She works hard and does a lot of stuff outside of what we do in terms of extra work with a goalie coach."
