Sophomore Anders Gundersen had a huge day, scoring three goals (all on the power play) and dishing out two assists as visiting Marblehead went to the Connery Rink in Lynn and hammered the Lynn Jets, 7-2.
With the victory, the Headers (9-9-0) moved to within two points of a playoff berth with two regular season games remaining.
Marblehead, which went 5-for-9 on the power play, also got two goals and an assist from Andrew Bates as well as tallies from freshmen Alex Whitmore (power play) and Alex Whitmore.
Another freshman, Chris McLeod, had two assists while junior goalie Aaron Reny stopped 11 shots.
