Corey McNamara poured in 26 points, including the 1,000 of his high school varsity career, as Pentucket boys basketball won 45-32 over Marblehead at the Marblehead Tourney.
McNamara now has 1,020 career points.
He earned the milestone in style, netting seven 3-pointers.
"He's a major reason we've had the success we've had," Pentucket coach Leo Parent said. "He provides us with a constant threat for other teams' defenses. This is a testament of how hard he has worked at the varsity level. We're very proud of him."
McNamara's sister, 2010 Pentucket grad and former Eagle-Tribune Super Teamer Erin McNamara, scored 1,106 career points.
