Haverhill's Trovato admits to being a little shell-shocked after Friday night's 68-67 "loss" in overtime to Lawrence High. The first-year Hillies coach was burned by calling a timeout too many, one he said he was told he had by somebody at the scorer's table at Lawrence High.

Somehow, there was some problem with the scorebook. Trovato, who doesn't have a book done on the road, said, "there is no book from that game," when asked for his team's scoring. "Their book had my first guy listed, Isiah Ocasio, with all 67 of our points."

When reporting the game to The Eagle-Tribune, Lawrence High coach Paul Neal gave the score and said he couldn't deliver a box score, because "there was a problem with the book."

Apparently, the controversy caused some feedback around the league, where a memo was issued, detailing proper procedures at the scoring table in order to avoid such a mess.

"I couldn't believe it, our eighth game and I thought I was going to get my first ejection," said Trovato. "It was crazy. My guys played hard and they deserved a break. What happened was the last thing we could ever need."
