"They keep telling me ugly doesn't matter, just win baby," said Londonderry coach John Fagula with a laugh.
Fagula, who built a nationally-recognized dynasty at Nashua High, knows a thing or two about winning.
Last night he guided the Lancers past Nashua North — he coached at what is now Nashua South — in the Division 1 quarterfinals.
North cut the lead from 9-2 midway through the fourth before Casey Evans (14 points, 8 rebounds) and Aliza Simpson (14 points, 8 steals) took the game over.
Next up is five-time defending champ Winnacunnet in the semis on Wednesday. The Warriors hope to eclipse the Division 1 record of five straight titles set by Fagula's Purple Panthers.
