Kerry Lennon won the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle, then had a part in Methuen's meet-clinching win the 400 freestyle relay. Lennon's efforts helped Methuen to a 94-92 win ver Central Catholic, the Rangers' first-eve win over the Raiders.
The meet was tied at 86-86, coming into the final event - the 400 freestyle relay, which Methuen claimed in a time of 4:13.03. Scott Del Rossi, Aly Arsenault, Abby Tremblay and Lennon.
"I am very proud of this team," said Methuen head coach Jason Smith, whose parents - Ken and Pat - were in attendance after visiting from New York. "You couldn't ask for a better first meet of the season. This win is not only a testiment to this team, but for the swimmers who came before them. They helped us develop as a program."
For Central, Michelle Galanos won the diving and Sydney Moran won the 100 backstroke.
