Sparked by outstanding defense from Claire Foggo, Katey Scioti and Erin Masucci and phenomenal goaltending from Mary Foggo, Central Catholic defeated Chelmsford, 15-5, in its season opener.

Courtney O'Neil propelled the Central offense with five goals.

It's the first time the Raiders have beaten the Lions in the four-year history of the team.
