Steve Ingemi's Magicians (3-1-2) went down to their first loss in NEC boys soccer Monday, falling to arch rival Swampscott.
The Magicians have a different makeup this year. It's not a team that will draw markers from opponents; that's because of the team's balance. The Magicians have scored 18 goals and have a dozen players with at least one score.
"Something like that is fantastic," Ingemi said. "We have no leading scorers. We have five players who have two goals apiece; that's great for a coach.
"It's nice to have a team with so many people who can put the ball away. We beat Winthrop and had six different goal contributors."
