Mike Glynn remained perfect on the year with a pair of wins at 138 and James Bohenko was 2-0 at 113 to highlight a tri-meet sweep for Central Catholic, which improved to 14-2 and has a big date at Andover Wednesday.

Lawrence arguably had its best day of the season, winning a quad-meet  at Billerica with one of the wins a 37-35 shocker over Central Catholic.

Chelmsford pulled off an upset in wrestlng, handing Central Catholic its first loss of the season, 40-37. Nate Vachon and Owen Buffagna had overtime wins for the Raiders (10-1) but it wasn't enough.

Unbeaten Central Catholic improved to 10-0 with four wins and, said coach Jamie Durkin, "it's the best we've looked all year." One of the wins was 41-33 over a strong Shawsheen team.

 Jimmy Glynn had four pins despite moving up to weight classes to 120, joining brother Mike Glynn (138) and Anthony Mears (220) with the same number of falls as Central Catholic won the DeMaio Duals, edging Wayland 37-34 ib the championship match. Nick Spero (106) and Stephen Donovan (132) were also both 4-0 on the day.

LOWELL — The good ones are never satisfied.

That seemed to be the case Saturday with Lowell Holiday champs Mike Glynn of Central Catholic and Beau Dillon of Salem as well as Nick Pallaria and the Timberlane wrestling team.

Surprising Concord, N.H. has been chasing Timberlane for years but, after the first day of the George Bosi Lowell Holiday Tournament, it's the Owls who are doing the chasing.

Jimmy Glynn had a pin in 17 seconds and older brother Mike recorded a 24-second fall as Central Catholic defeated Dracut, 42-27.

Central Catholic was highly regarded in the preseason and Saturday the Raiders showed just why by capturing the Sons of Italy crown in Wilmington.

The Raiders, who crowned four champions, finished with 174 points, comfortably ahead of runner-up Brookline (149) and defending champion Haverhill (147).

The Glynn brothers, Jimmy and Mike, both won, Matt Shaw had a 37-second pin at 152 and Brian Buffagna continues to impress at 182, recording a second-period to stay unbeaten, as Central Catholic rolled past Tewksbury 54-24.
