Josh Treff clouted a three-run homer and Trevor Bouvier hammered a two-run shot in the six-run seventh inning as Salem came from behind to beat Alvirne 8-3.

Salem in general, and Joe DiPalma in particular, made Manchester Memorial pay for giving up 11 walks in just four innings of the Blue Devils' 15-1 victory. DiPalma had a three-run homer, an RBI single and a run-scoring walk to power the offense while Trevor Bouvier added a two-run double as part of his three-RBI effort.

 Joe Morin blasted a walk-off solo homer in the bottom of the seventh to give Salem a 3-2 win over Merrimack. Morin's dramatics made a winner out of Joe Loguidice, who fired a five-hitter with six strikeouts.

Batting in the 5-6-7 slots, Joe DiPalma (3 for 3), Trevor Bouvier (3 for 3) and Dan Morin (2 for 4) combined for eight hits and drove in 12 runs for Salem in a 13-0 rout of Manchester West. DiPalma led the way with a triple and five RBIs.

ANDOVER — A premier pitching matchup morphed into an extra-innings thriller, and Andover High proved it could survive under both circumstances.

The Warriors knocked off Salem, N.H., 7-6, by rallying for a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth, to snap a two-game slide and improve to 3-2 on the young campaign.

SALEM — Senior pinch hitter Zach Stevens' sacrifice fly scored Joe DiPalma in the bottom of the sixth and ace Nick Poore fired two shutout innings of relief as Salem shaded Exeter 8-7.

Sophomore Joe Lemenager collected two hits, walked once, was hit by a pitch and scored three runs to power the offense for the 5-1 Blue Devils.

Trailing 1-0 for the entire day, Salem waited until it was one out away from defeat before striking for an improbable 2-1 victory over host Bishop Guertin. With the bases loaded due to walks, Brendan Dunn smacked a two-run single, rewarding Dan Peters' perseverence on the Blue Devil mound in going the distance for the win.

SALEM – The Nashua North and Salem High baseball teams delivered yet another example in the need for league play around the Granite State yesterday, with the Titans pulling out the tense 4-2 win.

Joe Morin was 3 for 3 with a home run, two runs and two RBIs as Salem beat Concord 7-3.

Nick Poore retired the first 12 batters he faced, nine of those by strikeout, as Salem bested Spaulding, 7-0. Poore finished with a two-hitter and 16 K's, striking out the side to finish the victory. Catcher Josh Treff had three of the Blue Devils' nine hits including a double and a stolen base.
