ACTON —Lawrence High hit only one 3-point shot in its second round loss in the Div. 1 North state tournament.

Also, the fact that Acton-Boxboro High, hit seven of 13 shots from beyond the arc was enough to do in the Lancers, which end the season 15-6.

Danvers dominated from the beginning and rolled to a 74-45 win over Pentucket in the Division 3 North quarterfinals.

Slepian: 8 3-pointers!

 

Ben Slepian had a night to remember to spark Salem's boys basketball team to an impressive 73-51 victory over Bishop Guertin and the No. 2 seed in next week's Division 1 tournament, which begins Tuesday. Slepian hit eight 3-pointers (one off the school record) and was 7 for 7 in the first half when he scored 27 of his game-high 32 points and outscored BG by himself. Jonny Klecan had six assists in the first half and 11 for the game for the Blue Devils (15-6).
