Haverhill's golf team qualified for state tournament play with its 15-5 victory over Methuen. Medalist John Orsillo led the Hillies, 9-5-1, with a 36 to win his match 4 and 3. Craig Farley and Jim Murphy also pitched in with victories for Haverhill. Methuen was led by Mark Fisher, who won his match 3 and 2.

With the score tied after the top six scorers, the tie breaker was determined from the next highest scorer on each team, in which the Generals had a one point advantage.
