Leavitt became the medalist for the seventh time this year by shooting a even-par 72 at Longmeadow Golf Club at the MVC Open.
“I started off not so good by bogeying the third hole,” said Leavitt, adding that he felt fortunate to regroup and shoot birdies on hole Nos. 5 and 9.
Central coach Vin Pastore was impressed how Leavitt kept his composure despite stumbling early.
“He’s the best golfer I’ve ever had,” said Pastore. “He’s determined. He’s a hard worker. He’s always at the range.”
Central Catholic’s Jake Hajec finished second with a 75.
Haverhill’s Craig Farley took fifth place, shooting 77. Andover’s Dave Gilbert followed in sixth with a 78. Methuen’s Jordan Pritts cracked the top 10, shooting 80.
