Superb relief

With the score tied 3-3 in the fifth with Merrimack loading the bases with only one out, Londonderry (11-2) brought in Erica Boehm, who shut the door the rest of the way in a 10-4 victory. Samantha Nitso led the attack, going 4 for 4  and breaking the game open in the sixth with a two-run triple.

Freshman Danielle Sierra singled in Angie Gonzalez in the seventh inning, capping a four-run explosion that brought Greater Lawrence Tech an 11-10 comeback win over Northeast. Right fielder and No. 9 hitter Rosa Javier crushed a three-run homer to tie the game while Trudy Getches had a pair of two-run round-trippers to give the Reggies (4-12) an early advantage.
