Timberlane senior standout Matt Morris made a rousing return from a wrist injury with a pair of pins in a 60-0 rout of Exeter and 16-0 shutout of Sanborn. Andrew Tanner also wrestled well for the Owls (8-0) with a 43-second pin and 9-0 major decision.

Georgetown recorded its biggest dual-meet win in years, edging North Reading/Lynnfield 39-34. Freshman Matt Prescott, who was trailing at the time, had a huge pin at 145, and in the last match of the day freshman 103-pounder Mike Gallanar clinched the win with a 7-1 decision.

Windham's wrestling team, in its second year of varsity competition, swept Bow 39-35 and Spaulding 54-24 to improve to 4-1, already giving the Jaguars more wins than last year. 

Pelham's wrestling team was tied up with Campbell 36-36, but the Pythons were declared the winner on the fourth tiebreaker criteria (most wins) to improve to 4-0. Junior Matt Blanchard turned the tide at 189 pounds, Trailing 10-4 in the second period, he got a quick escape, takedown and pin.

Central Catholic junior heavyweight Manny Suarez, who took last year off, delivered a decisive pin to help lift the Raiders to a tough 39-37 victory over a gritty Andover team coached by former Central standout Jamie Durkin in his first duel against his alma mater.

Freshmen Brad Drover and Christian Rodrigues each scored victories by pin in their first varsity meet as North Andover rolled past shorthanded Hamilton-Wenham 36-0.

Sanborn's three-man wrestling team won eight of nine matches in a four-team meet at Campbell to open the season yesterday. Ryan Mansaian and Jonathan Scheidegger were both 3-0, each match won with a pin, and Tristan Leek was 2-1.

Sophomore Josh Burnham charged back from a 6-2 deficit to beat Bishop Guertin ace Mitch Fokas with a 14-6 major decision to highlight Timberlane's season-opening 62-16 victory.

It took the Brooks wrestling team only 25 minutes to blast BB&N 60-18. The Green and White took three forfeits and had seven pins in the first period, the fastest being in 31 seconds by freshman Nate Gibeley.

 Freshmen Nate Gibeley and Andrew Konovalchik both opened with a pair of wins as the Brooks wrestling team split, whipping St. Mark's 60-0 but falling to Tabor 39-31.
