The Windham wrestling team clinched the Division 3 regular season title outright with a resounding 44-22 rout of Plymouth. Shiloh VanHyll had a key pin in the second match over a returning state finalist to spark the win and Chris Ferri and Peter Caron had first-period pins for the Jaguars (16-1)

After trailing Plymouth by eight points midway through the third quarter, Windham surged behind team-oriented offense to take the lead in the fourth, holding on for a 53-51 triumph to snap a five-game losing streak. A balanced attack featuring Tucker Lippold (10 points) and Zach Hennessey (8 points) helped Windham survive when high-scorer Andrew Lowman (17 points) fouled out with a minute left.

Freshman Amanda Carey came off the bench and scored 11 points to help Windham to an easy 63-35 victory over Plymouth. Senior Bernadette Connors had 13 points and 14 rebounds in the win.

Showing early-season offensive firepower that even surprised head soccer coach Eva Lang, a young Sanborn squad surged to beat Plymouth, 6-0. "They're working together very well," Lang said. "I'm very proud." Emily Richard (two assists) got the offense flowing, particularly to Kerri Phillips who finished with a hat trick.

Rachel Vafides was commanding in every area of play in Windham's 5-0 shutout over Plymouth. The sophomore hurled a complete-game three-hitter, striking out 10, and contributed a pair of hits and two RBIs to the Jaguar offense. Catcher Emily Comtois had a double and scored and also threw out two Plymouth runners trying to steal.

Tom Mullin, one of only three seniors on the team, fired a 4-hit shutout and helped his own cause with two hits, an RBI and two runs scored as Windham opened its season with a 10-0 rout of Plymouth. Matt Carbonello was 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the Jaguars.

Youth was served in Windham's 58-46 victory over Plymouth. Sophomores Andrew Lowman (game-high 19 points and 9 rebounds) and Jeff Peterson (14 points and 8 boards) stepped up big for the Jaguars as did freshman David Carbonello, who ran the offense well in his first start at point guard.

  The Brooks squash team improved to 7-2 with a convincing 5-2 win over Nobles and Greenough. Among the winners for Brooks was improving Tyler Britt of North Andover.

Despite missing several starters with injuries and other commitments, the Windham wrestling team surprised Plymouth, 42-30, handing it its first Division 3 loss of the season. The Jaguars had five pins, perhaps the most surprising being by Brian Matthews at 113 and heavyweight David Crichton.

Windham's girls zoomed out of the gates, leading Plymouth 29-18 at halftime and 49-24 after three quarters on its way to a 59-41 victory. Kerry White led the way with 16 points.
