North Andover's Eric Duffy rolled to victory with a school-record 3,185 points at the MSTCA Individual Pentathlon on Saturday.

The multi-talented Duffy turned in huge efforts in the 110 hurdles (15.32), high jump (6-1.5), shot put (36-5), long jump (20-1.25) and 1,500 (5:06.93) to take first in the event, which was held at North Andover High.

North Andover may be short in numbers but the Knights are not lacking in talent as they showed Sdaturday by finishing a strong second at the Wilmington tournament, just 13 points behind Shawsheen.

Allison Petrow grabbed 15 rebounds and Makayla Ferullo and Nyah Mazzone each scored 10 points but Methuen lost a non-leaguer to Wilmington 41-36.

Garrett Lischke was 3-0 at 126 to highlight Pentucket, which won two of three in a quad-meet to improve to 18-7. Kyle Knox, Kalon Boston and Noah Malhi also were 3-0 for the Sachems.

The Haverhill boys hockey team beat Wilmington 3-1 to win the 2015 Hillies Hockey tournament. Kyle Gosselin scored the game-winning goal and won 68 percent of his faceoffs to win Tournament MVP, and Broghean McGovern also scored his first varsity goal to ice the victory.

Coach Craig Stone, who is in his 41st year, won his 499th, 500th and 501st career wins as the North Reading-Lynnfield wrestling team swept Wilmington, Hopkinton and Weston.

North Reading's Shane Bartlett had a big day for the Hornets, scoring six goals to help lead his team to a 13-5 win over Wilmington. Sean McGreal added two goals and five assists, and Nate Distasio had three goals.

Methuen showed its dual meet prowess in a big way Saturday.

The Rangers romped over BC High, Wilmington, Brockton and Brookline to improve to 9-0 and give signs that they could be tough to beat in the Merrimack Valley Conference. The rout of BC High (54-18) was payback against a team that edged Methuen in the Oliver Ames Tournamentas, romping over BC High. 

Two out of three was a good ratio for Haverhill Saturday.

Both Reece Millington (145) and Luc Chretien (195) both won their weight classes to pace the Hillies to third place, a spot behind undermanned North Andover and trailing just powerful WInchester and Shawsheen.

The North Reading boys soccer team scored early and then survived a penalty-kick showdown Wednesday night to advance to the Division 3 North finals for the first time since 1993 with a 2-1 win overWilmington.
