Defending Division 1 boys soccer state champion Windham couldn't defend its title, falling to Exeter in PKs after the score was tied 1-1 following overtime. Ben Breen scored for Windham in the second half before Exeter tied it up with three minutes left in regulation.Windham scored a goal in overtime for the apparent game-winner but it was called back by an infraction.

Sophia Ponzini scored the game's only goal in the second half as Windham edged Exeter, 1-0.

Kayla Stevens had 10 kills and 9 aces as Windham volleyball stayed unbeaten, whipping Exeter, 3-1.

Freshman Kayla Silveira scored both goals as Pinkerton's girls soccer team stunned Exeter 2-1, ending a 35-game winning streak. Libby Williams made seven saves for the Astros, who improved to 3-1. "A pretty great win for us," said coach Danielle Rappa.  

EXETER — The magical tournament run for the Windham girls soccer team came to an end in the Division 1 state championship game Sunday afternoon.

Ryan Lynch scored two goals but two-time defending champion Pinkerton was shut out in the second half of the Division 1 lacrosse semis and fell to Exeter, 12-5. 

Amy Quigley scored seven goals, Abby Jowett added six and Ali Lamphere had five as Pinkerton's girls overwhelmed Exeter 21-10 in the Division 1 semifinals.

Ali Lamphere (6), Abby Jowett (5) and Caroline Daziel (3) combined to score all 14 goals as Pinkerton beat Exeter, 14-8. Daziel added three assists and joined the 100-point club.

Windham's Lukasz Rondeau scattered six hits, struck out seven and walked just one in a complete game 8-0 win over Exeter. Westin Lippold had three hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Lefty Westin Lippold fired a 4-hitter, struck out 12 and walked only one as Windham blanked Exeter, 9-0. Lippold and Keegan Parke both drove in two runs.
